M.SUDHAKAR,who is the promoter of the group, heads the company as Managing Director.
Being a post graduate in Industrial chemistry (M.Sc.,) and Environmental Engineering (M.Tech.,), he drives the business as technolog oriented rather than just supplying equipment and systems.
He has been the source of inspiration for the technical team, which has developed unique technologies customized to customer requirements. Some of such developments include;
- Sequential batch reactor for tannery effluents
- Chrome recovery plants
- Design of fool-proof, leak free filter press
- Unique membrane coating technology
- Silica removal units as pretreatment to RO
- RO systems that handle >250 ppm COD and >40 ppm silica
- Chemical oxidation system as a replacement to Activated Sludge Process
- Unique colour removal system for textile effluents
- Inventor of Sludges technology
He holds the following two patents to his credit.
- Removal Of Colour In Textile Effluents Using Chemical Reactants.
- Recovery Of Brine Solution From Dye Bath In Textile Industry.
Dr.M. KARUNAKARAN, one of the Directors,
heads the technical team. He is a Post-graduate in Bio-Chemistry who won Gold medal at Institute of Basic-Medical Sciences, Madras University, Chennai. He is also a Post-graduate in Bio-Technology (M.Tech) with Gold medal from Anna University, and Ph.D. from Dept. of Chemical Technology, Anna University, Chennai.
He specializes in synthesis of enzymes for wastewater treatment and molecular tissue culture. He is the brain behind the success of biological wastewater treatment solutions offered by East India
Equipments.
Dr. S. KUMARAN, One of the co-promoters of the group is an Environmental Scientist who is currently pursuing his post-doctorate fellow-ship at Department of Environmental Engineering, Osaka University, Japan.

Dr. K.Rajendran, PhD., CEPIT - Environmental Scientist
Dr. Rajendran has completed Ph.D. degrees in Marine Pollution Studies at the
University of Glasgow (UK) and Annamalai University (India),
specializing in environmental levels of heavy metals and radio nuclides and
their detection methods using various extraction techniques from
range of environmental matrices. His doctoral research was particularly
focused on the development of analytical methods for low level detection
of elemental concentrations using advanced analytical methods (ICP-MS,
Liquid Scintillation) and their evaluation using various samples
collected from different aquatic environment.
Since joining East India Equipments Pvt. Ltd., in July 2005, Dr. Rajendran
has worked as both a EIA specialist and project manager on a variety
of small and large scale impact assessments, including projects examining
the potential impacts associated with biomass power generation
facilities, contaminated industrial and residential sites, incinerator
emissions, landfills, highways, abandoned sites, fuel oil spills, and
drinking
water contamination. He contributes to the development of GIS models used to
predict the environmental impacts, and a key support in risk
assessment and management projects. Dr. Rajendran is also involved in
graduate level teaching of Environmental Impact Assessment at
colleges and Universities. Dr. Rajendran is reviewer for national and
international journals and editor for Periyar Journal of Research and
Development (ISSN:0972-7582).
